The Conqueror of Zones Page 3
“Don’t you ever mention her name?!!!” The young dwarfin shouted at the top of his voice, causing the palace to shake due to his current unstable energies.
Outside of the palace's main building, a few individuals were startled by the sudden rumbling, as well as the terrifying energy fluctuations that flowed off for a fraction of time.
The gathered natives who were previously discussing this meeting between father and son were shaking their heads as they looked towards one of the main palace crystal towers with interest.
"Some things never change..." One of them said in a dull tone of voice, the others nodding their heads in compliance as they continued their current tasks.
A reasonable distance away within an outdoor tavern for palace guests sat a few dwarfins around a huge table; they laughed and conversed amongst themselves while drinking larges jars of booze.
Suddenly, an elder among those dwarfins looked towards the distant crystal tower that rippled for a moment before knitting his brows and speaking in a voice only he could hear.
“It seems that the prince has gone to interrogate the past king. Sigh... such a pity it is that their relationship may never be able to mend even if time ends...” He murmured under his breath as he sat within the tavern while drinking his whiskey.
A few other natives also noticed this scene, including some of the newly arriving alliance members but they didn’t pay attention for too long as they had to arrange themselves for tomorrow’s alliance meeting.
Traveling back towards the room where Zyne and the now unstable dwarfin stood, one would notice that the pieces of furniture that were augmented by an unusual power were toppled over, a few books with design charts had also fallen onto the ground with their pages wide open. The young dwarfin was now heavily panting as he looked towards the calm looking Zyne who closed his mouth after hearing his words.
After a short moment, Zyne who had remained quiet looked towards the young dwarfin with a slightly gentler expression. The regret within his eyes growing more intense as a pain he had tried to forget started to permeate his entire being. This pain was sharp as no matter how hard he worked to conceal it, the remnant memories of a precise moment shook his soul affecting his entire mood.
The young dwarfin noticing the mood of sadness within Zyne felt a tinge emotion as he lowered his head and gritted teeth, his tears trickling down his cheeks before they quickly dried up revealing his newly indifferent face.
Not bothering to speak to Zyne anymore, he turned around and walked towards the open door. His current steps were light, much different from the harsh, heavy steps he previously used to enter the room. Zyne seeing this finally couldn’t bear it; he lifted his hand and stretched it outwards as if trying to grasp the young dwarfin before him as he spoke in a soft voice unbecoming of his usually unbridled self, “Leon....”
The soft but resonant voice seeping into the young dwarfin’s soul as he trembled before pausing his steps at the entrance of the door; he then gripped his fists tightly and closed his eyes for a short while to recover his mood. After calming himself, he once more returned to his state of indifference as he slightly slanted his head and glanced towards Zyne before speaking, “Never call my name again... we are no longer, as we used to be...”
As he finished his words, he quickened his motions finally exiting through the room’s door before heaving a sigh of relieve as he stepped towards a different location. However, before he could distance himself further away from the room, Zyne's loud voice could be heard.
“No matter how much time passes, how much one changes, nor how much you may now reject me. You can never change the fact that you... are a father’s son...” His voice trailing with the wind as it soon faded away, leaving a trace within Leon’s heart.
“Hmph! I will never call him father again...” Leon said to himself as quickly left the upper halls of the palace tower moving towards the dwarfin gathering place. Soon, his figure vanished beneath the stairways leaving behind a soundless hallway...

Deep within the palace walls, at a particular location was a rather spacious room adorned with a variety of magical plants and roses. If one looked at the center of this room, they would see a fairly large pool of water that was roughly 100 meters in size. It enclosed a strange looking curtain made of water that also enveloped a small bed that rested on top of its surface.
There, the stunning silhouette of a female shrouded by the water curtains rested calmly; her wondrous figure filled with mesmerizing curves that would be a glorious feast for the eyes of any man.
A few crystal pillars made of unknown materials were uniquely arranged around the room with a small glass like orbs placed at their tips; they emanated a soft light that added even more color to this magically decorated room.
Carefully looking around the room, one would notice that a small blue-haired fairy with golden cicada-like wings was kneeling in front of the water pond without moving an inch, as she seemed to have been in this state for an extended amount time.
Suddenly, the calm and quiet scene finally had changed as the woman hidden behind the water curtains spoke while sighing. “Myria, do you know your wrongdoings?” She asked in a resonant and familiar voice.
The small fairy kneeling outside finally shook her head as she spoke in a tearful voice, “Mother I... I...”
“I know, sigh... you wanted to reclaim the Life Source Orb for my sake, didn’t you?” The Fairy Queen said in a gentler tone of voice.
“Um,” Myria replied with a soft voice while still kneeling on the floor.
“I know that my health is deteriorating due to the wounds I sustained in the long past and the fact that we are not capable of drawing upon the powers of the heavens and earth to cultivate ever since we became sealed. But you should have taken into account your status. You are the last of the royal bloodline, the sole remaining heir to our lineage. If I were to die, you would naturally ascend to take my place, even if it were for my sake you should have never left the Fairyland to infiltrate the Dark Palace on your own accord... cough!” The Fairy Queen said in a slightly stern tone, with one hand wiping the corner of her mouth.
“Mother! I’m sorry... wu... wu...” Myria yelled while crying like a child, her large rounded eyes turning red as her tears trickled down her cheeks nonstop.
“Come here...” The Fairy Queen said while her arms gestured for her to enter the water curtain.
Myria hearing this, quickly rose to her feet and flapped her wings flying through the water curtain into her mother’s embrace, her tears continuing to fall.
“There, there, a grown fairy shouldn’t be a crybaby, even though you did risk your life and acted recklessly once again. You still did for my sake and was lucky enough to succeed. Though you were captured for a while and had to escape this time with the help from the new Chosen One and Zyneas...” The Fairy Queen said while gently rubbing Myria head.
Myria hearing this finally stopped crying as she grew calmer; lifting her head to look at her mother’s face. The Fairy Queen seeing her look patted her head as she spoke once again with a smile on her face, “It is in our nature to be reckless during childhood, I was also like this, and even your aunt had this kind of nature. If she were still alive, she would have probably given a special award...”
“Hehe! Aunty was always lively...” Myria said with an innocent reminiscent smile on her face.
“She was indeed, a bright soul...” The Fairy Queen said while looking towards the corner of the room with a deep reminiscent gaze, after a short while, she recovered her state of mind and looked towards Myria before speaking once again.
“Now isn’t the time for us to bond, the major alliance members should have all arrived by now. Give the word to the fairies and let them start preparations within the central garden fields for tomorrow’s meeting and ritual...”
Myria hearing this nodded while responding, “Um. Ok, then mother I shall start the preparations...” After finishing her words, she
flapped her wings livelier than her previous times and cheerfully flew outside of the queen’s resting quarters.
The Fairy Queen seeing Myria’s quick change of mood smiled wearily as she then looked towards a particular section of the room, her sparkling blue eyes with golden rings around her pupils locked onto a beautiful form that was projected in the same strange manner as portraits placed inside of the palace halls.
“It almost feels like yesterday since you left us both, Irana... cough!” While speaking to herself she started to cough, after a short while, she moved her palms to corners of her lips and wiped the blood that was trickling down her mouth corner.
“If we didn’t manage to recover this orb, this would have probably been the last time I spoke with this daughter of mine...” The Fairy Queen said as she looked at the glowing orb that suddenly appeared within her palms for a moment before putting it away with a wave of her hand, she then closed her eyes and curled herself up on her bed falling into slumber once again...
The time was approaching that of noon, and the sound of various individuals marching into the palace compound was still abundant. The palace shops were active, and temporary resting spots were full of natives who had visited from many places, as the sound of lively banter resounded through the castle filling even more life in its usually cheerful walls.
At a specific palace tower, within one of its rooms was a sleeping beauty who rested peacefully on a large bed. The strands of her long silvery white hair shining brightly as the rays of sunlight illuminated her slender but abundant figure, with long eyelashes that trembled slightly as if she was about to wake from her realm of dreams, her beautiful red lips moving ever so slightly as she breathed in and out at a steady pace.
Suddenly, the lids of her eyes opened revealing a set of bright silvery eyes that shone like the stars hidden at the depths of the universe as a strange type of ancient profoundness hid deep underneath their innocent appearance.
She looked around the room in confusion, after rubbing her eyes for a bit and yawning charmingly, she finally sat up from the bed and rose to her feet.
As she stood on the ground, the sheet that covered her body slowly slid down her figure revealing her beautiful but pale white skin along with the upper parts of bountiful chests. Carefully gripping the sheets, she then wrapped it around her figure tightly so that it remained in place, leaving just the uppermost section of her ample chest and long slender legs visible as she walked to the balcony outside of the room gazing at the scene below her.
After looking at the lively surroundings and observing the environment, she finally spoke, “It’s been a while since I felt such pure magical forces, and it seems that even this place can retain such good order despite the passing of time...”
As Jing Mingyun said this, she then closed her eyes and lifted her head as her small nose twitched for a short period.
Sniff! Sniff
After sniffing the air for a while, she finally picked up the scent she was searching for as the corner of her lips rose into that of a cheeky smile painting the natural ice-like beauty's face with a strange charm, “Found you...” Her voice fading into the wind that traveled across the palace into the distant woods of the Fairyland...
Chapter 125
4th Tier Aura Disciple, The Life Source Ritual
The day was now at its peak, as the sun shone even more brightly across the distant sky. The trees and plants of the radiant forest being as dazzling as ever due to the bright rays of daylight that glimmered on their edges, painting forestry with their colorful hues.
As a few random speckles of tiny shimmering spores danced around the region, a few of the region's lakes and fruits rippled with spiritual energies that flowed into the area filling it with an abundance of life.
Currently, the figure of a red-haired youth was seated on top of a large rock protruding from the surface of a lake within a region of lush grasses with many ancient trees. Looking closely, one would notice that while this youth sat in a cross-legged posture, a serene expression was shown on his face as he drew in the rich energies from the environment at alarming speeds.
If one looked inside of his body, they would notice that all of those streams of energies shot towards his Dantian through his enlarged and overly strengthened meridians with no hindrances. Upon reaching his Dantian, they would then start to fade as if they were being swallowed into a bottomless pit.
Bang! After another hour of absorbing these energies, there was a loud boom, and the auras within the space of Feng Yu’s Dantian instantly grow larger and more saturated reaching a scale of forty miles.
Feng Yu feeling this change stopped his cultivation as a smile came upon his face, he clenched his fist causing a massive aura to explode from his body causing the pressure to rise within the surrounding area.
The branches of the ancient trees swayed back and forth while the waters of the surrounding pond rippled with large waves, feeling this power Feng Yu spoke excitedly, “This is great! I'm now at 40% aura condensation, and it can be said that I have finally broken through to the 4th Tier of Aura Disciple. Now, my battle power should almost be comparable to that of a 4th Tier True Foundation Realm expert. If I can fully comprehend my Sword Intent, then along with the use of my bloodline I should be capable of defeating a 4th Tier True Foundation Realm expert thus truly achieving Third Layer Battle Prestige.”
As he was currently filled with excitement, a beautiful white-haired figure soon appeared within the area, she looked towards Feng Yu with a calm expression as she spoke in a teasing manner, “Oh, you’re quite happy... it seems that for humans having a breakthrough in those small realms are typically worth celebration.”
Feng Yu hearing this, shook his head and swallowed his mood as he recollected his energies, soon the environment to once again became tranquil as he then looked towards Jing Mingyun with a soft expression. Ignoring the prideful speech spoken by the beauty he then asked, “You’ve finally woken up I see, how was your night's rest?”
Jing Mingyun hearing this smiled as she didn’t reply directly but only walked towards him and sat by his side resting her head on his shoulder, Feng Yu seeing her action didn’t do anything to resist instead he lifted his arm and gently patted her head.
Time flew by quickly as the day had finally crossed over once more into the peak of night time, the bright leaves of the trees illuminating the two silent forms that calmly rested underneath their branches.
Suddenly, the tranquil scene came to an end as the peacefully resting Jing Mingyun turned her head and looked towards Feng Yu with her star-like silver eyes before opening her cherry-like lips to respond to his earlier question, “I’m feeling better now...”
Feng Yu hearing this felt a spark rose once again, but he swiftly pressed down this natural response as if subconsciously recalling the 'green thunder.' He then spoke, “Zyne said that by tomorrow the Fairy Queen would have prepared a special mechanism to aid you in your recovery. However, from what I saw based on Zyne's behavior and words, they are not fully certain of the side-effects that may occur if you use it since you have lost all of your previous source energies. Do you still wish to risk it?”
“Um. It is, after all, my duty...” replied Jing Mingyun with a strange look in her eyes as a determined expression came on her face.
Feng Yu hearing her words, no longer commented as he used his fingers to lift her chin and gaze into the depths of her eyes for a moment. He then sighed and spoke as he picked himself up from the ground and stretched his hand out towards her.
“Fine then, it’s about time we've been here for quite a while. There is a lot in store for tomorrow, and your body is currently no different from a mortal's so come let us head back...”
Jing Mingyun hearing his words, grabbed his hand to pick herself up from the ground while replying in a soft voice, “Um.”
However, as she stood, she couldn't help but purse her lips and speak in a teasing voice, "But, aren't you mortal yourself..."
"H
uh? What do you mean?" Feng Yu hearing this was stunned as he responded in confusion.
"Nothing... nothing... all shall be known in due time..." Jing Mingyun replied casually.
"Whatever you say, Yun'er..." replied Feng Yu after hearing her words, he decided to let it go as a sly smile came on his face. His arm still holding her palm jerked a bit causing her to pull towards his form a bit harder as her plentiful chest pressed against his back.
Jing Mingyun seeing this only smiled, however, expressing a behavior more common for her age instead of the expected shock and surprise. She quickly followed by wrapping her arms around her neck and whispering in his ears, "A Dragon's meal shouldn't be eaten too hastily, for it will only 'digest' too soon..."
Feng Yu feeling stunned once again thought to himself, "Since when was I the meal? Where did she learn such words?" Beads of sweat trickling down his forehead as he quickly calmed himself, picking her up into a piggyback he then carried her towards the hidden array portal.
Jing Mingyun seeing his response smiled as she muttered in a voice that only she could hear, "I guess he's still a tad too green... mother was right, only after they've aged will eating be a more pleasurable experience... "
As she was stuck in her own thoughts, their figures soon entered the hidden array as they vanished within the bark of a towering ancient tree...

Today was a great day for the Fairyland, as the queen of all fairies had convened a gathering for all fairies at the palace's central garden. It was rumored that a long-awaited item of ancient had been recovered by their troublemaker princess and her rescuers from the Dark Palace, and it will be reactivated once more to increase the might of all magical instruments as well as fairy kind.
