Bang! One of the individuals slammed his chair and stood to his feet before shouting, “Did I hear incorrectly? You said ‘him’ not ‘they,’ I noticed this human before when we all entered the room and thought nothing of it, but I must ask, where is his accompanying influence?”
“Yes, I also thought it strange that was only one human at this gathering. Typically, a Chosen would be accompanied by a powerful influence from their world...” Another individual said.
As the commotion continued, the ever so silent Zyne finally found his chance to make some noise.
Rumble! The area shook, as Zyne smashed his foot against the ground.
Instantly, the commotion stopped as everyone looked towards Zyne with a slight hint of fear in their eyes. Zyne seeing this smiled cheekily and spoke, “Brats! The Queen of Fairies hasn’t finished her statements. I suggest you pipe down and wait until she finishes her words...”
The alliance members remained silent as they heard this, leaving only Leon who glanced and Zyne once again before snorting and turning his head, “Humph!”
“Chet! Damn brat!” Zyne muttered under his breath as his efforts didn’t seem to earn any appreciation from the latter.
Queen Demetria seeing silence returned once again continued her speech only with a slight rephrasing, “Yes, I know you would have all that concern on your minds. The fact of the matter is that Chosen Yu’s influence was not sent here with him for a reason unknown to us. Therefore, it is now up to us to solely aid Chosen Yu in his conquest. But, before we can do so, we need to recover our strengths to a standard level by having the strongest of the selected few among our ranks enter the Healing Chambers. Currently, we lack the offensive force necessary to match even Kefalas forces say not of the other zones.”
The alliance members remained silent as they heard Queen Demetria’s words, each lost in their thoughts as they pondered the possibilities of success. Leon having discussed with the elders of the dwarfin clan through mental messages finally looked towards the queen before focusing on Feng Yu and speaking directly, “We of the Dwarfin Clan will aid Chosen Yu on his campaign!”
“We of the Mermen Tribe offer our strengths!”
“The Spector Life Born Clan is with you!”
“The wings of the Ancient Hawks are ready to soar for Chosen Yu!”
“............”
Like dominos, following Leon’s words of compliance, the other allied forces finally came to agreements of their own as they stated their allegiance to Feng Yu.
Zyne, Queen Demetria, Myria, Jing Mingyun and Leon each looked towards Feng Yu as they were now waiting for him to speak.
Feng Yu seeing this smiled and nodded his head, he then stood to his feet and lifted his arm to the sky clenching his fist tightly before he spoke in a loud and clear voice, “I thank you all for your willingness to join me in this dreadful campaign. As such, I can promise you that I will do my best for every one of your freedoms. After gathering all of our strengths and the successful recovery of those whose essences are injured, we will commence our first act, with our first target being the Dark Palace. There, we will give them a lesson to remember and rain down destruction to all the fiends who've oppressed you all for so many years, reclaiming that which you've all lost, the freedom of all races!”
The alliance members who heard his speech became excited as their blood began to boil; a few members of the older generation who knew what they truly lost couldn’t help but get misty eyed as they lifted their hands and yelled, “For the glory of all races!”
“Glory to all kinds!” The members of all allied forces shouted in unison as their voices traveled far and wide shaking the entire realm of the hidden Fairyland.
Feng Yu seeing the scene before him couldn’t help but feel strange, as if the battle he was now a part of is something much more significant than himself and would only spark the beginning of something much higher. However, little did Feng Yu know that this feeling was more than he could have ever imagined...
Chapter 127
Healing Jing Mingyun, Feng Yu’s New Artifacts!
The mood within the central area was a boiling one indeed, as the alliance members expressed their rising spirits through a hot-blooded yell. Soon though, the mood had returned to normal as everyone looked towards Feng Yu with a different light, a look more along the lines of comrades. Queen Demetria who had remained silent for a while finally spoke with a smile on her face, “Now that we have all determined our standpoints, we can begin the strategy meeting, after which each of the selected members for the Healing Chambers will follow me to the chamber room.”
“Agreed!” The members replied in unison. Quickly, a series of discussion started regarding the designed battle strategies, resources that will be necessary along with the means to be used for the upcoming battles.
The discussion continued for an entire day, ending at the rise of a new dawn. As Queen Demetria dismissed the strategy meeting, she looked towards the members who were left behind as the rest of the allied forces had started to leave the area in abundance.
“Follow me...” She said in a soft voice, as she walked towards a different section of the meeting area. The others seeing this followed quietly, Feng Yu who was with Jing Mingyun also followed along with Zyne, Myria, Leon, and the others.
After a bit of walking, they came before a water curtain. Queen Demetria then placed her palm on the surface of the water curtain causing it to disperse outwards starting from the point where her palm touched.
As it collapsed, a passageway was soon after revealed; seeing this path everyone held curious expressions as they followed while Zyne followed along with a pensive expression on his face.
“It seems they’ve kept this place well maintained over the years... but, it should be expected it's her we’re talking about after all...” Zyne thought to himself as he gazed upon Queen Demetria from the rear.
Leon who was walking not too far away frowned when he saw Zyne’s expression, he lifted his hand and held a small necklace around his neck gripping firmly with his fingers while muttering to himself, “Mother...”
Eventually, each of their figures vanished behind the passageway where after the curtain of water formed once more blocking the path from all sights on the outside.
It was a long and narrow path leading downwards, with various spheres floating around illuminating the pathway even at the darkest depths. The floor was of the same ice-like material used inside of the palace floors reflecting the lights emitting from the orbs.
After what seemed like forever, the group finally arrived at the end of the pathway which led them below the lake floor. Here, they were greeted with a spectacular scene; one filled with pure aquatic blue, as the bottom of the lake which surrounded the entire palace was now in plain sight.
There, a myriad of sea creatures could be seen swimming at the depths of these waters moving between magical looking seaweeds and marine plants, a few of them even tried to make their way towards the location of the group of individuals.
However, they were soon prevented by an invisible barrier which not only blocked them in their tracks but even prevented the waters from these depths to enter this broad space. Carefully looking, one would now see that the vines from the plants that created a platform for the Life Source Orb trailed all the way down from the surface of the lake towards the depths connecting into different port-like sections of this space.
These ports were strange; looking like tubes connected to large cylindrical semi-transparent containers whose surfaces gleamed in the same manner as crystals.
Feng Yu seeing this odd object finally spoke, “So, this is a Healing Chamber...”
Queen Demetria hearing his words smiled as she confirmed, “Indeed it is, an ancient set of engineering masterpieces of our previous Queen and our friend over there...” She said as she pointed towards the figure of Zyne who was now standing before one of the chambers with his hand placed on its surface.
“Ah... he is even mor
e gifted than I thought; it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to convince someone of his standard to join my influence.” Feng Yu thought to himself as he looked at Zyne in surprise.
Jing Mingyun looked at the chambers before her with interest as she was pondering which one of them would be hers, as Queen Demetria saw her expression, she finally looked towards her and spoke, “Heiress Mingyun, your chamber will be quite different from these as trying to heal you will require a different approach. Typically, a true Dragonborn would not need to cultivate as their strengths will naturally grow accordingly at a rate comparable to Paragon-Class Talent. However, because you've grown in a world where forces do not exist and used it as the base to condense your now lost source essence, using any of these standard chambers will only result in serious setbacks.”
Queen Demetria said while pointing her finger towards the common Healing Chamber before them, Jing Mingyun having already known this didn’t say anything and only observed with a calm expression on her face.
Feng Yu and the other individuals who had entered the room also looked at the chambers with increasing interest. While Zyne, Leon, Myria, and Jing Mingyun looked at the area in silence each in their thoughts, Queen Demetria seeing this then glanced towards the individuals and spoke, “You may all choose any one of these types of Healing Chambers, simply place your palms on their surface and send a strand of your energies within them. Upon doing so, the chambers will absorb your bodies and send you into a crystallized state which will last for about two weeks. During that time, the life source energies from the Life source orb will be channeled into your bodies recovering any injured sources essences, while the rules of the prison realm will still suppress us and our battle prestige will at least return to the states we had in these early cultivation levels...”
After hearing her words, one of the individuals who didn't know much spoke, “Ah... so that’s how they work. I guess I will choose this one then...” He then walked towards one of the chambers and placed his palm on top of its surface.
Phew! After a bright flash of light, the arm of the individual began to sink into the transparent glass of the chamber which soon after swallowed his enter body. The moment the individual entered the chamber, his body grew numb and his consciousness became drowsy, as a stream of strange fluids began to submerge his entire being.
Very soon, he completely lost consciousness and curled up into the fetal posture as a stream of life source energy traveled through the vines from the Life Source Halo towards the depths of the lake. It flowed into the connecting chamber of that individual instantly turning the fluids into a crystal-like state almost like freezing water into ice.
Feng Yu seeing this was intrigued as he muttered, “Well this is something unique, I wonder how all of this was actually made...”
A few other individuals who had not seen this before also had looks of surprise leaving only, Zyne, Myria, Demetria, Jing Mingyun and Leon looking at the scene with pure indifference.
Quickly though, these individuals recovered from their surprise and made their way towards the different chambers inside of the room. Leon then looked towards an injured elder from the Dwarfin clan and spoke a few words, “Elder Jisk. Please do take care! I will continue to monitor the outside in the event of any unexpected hindrances.”
“Em. I can rest at ease knowing this Young Lord...” Elder Jisk then entered the chamber soon after becoming submerged and crystallized. Zyne seeing this, shook his head before looking towards Feng Yu and speaking, "Brat, come here..."
Feng Yu hearing Zyne call out quickly went over by his side, and spoke, "Is something wrong Zyne?"
Zyne looked at Feng Yu with a cheeky smile while responding, "Have you forgotten about your armor and sword?"
"Ah, I’d almost forgotten, you’ve finished them already?!" Feng Yu said in a tone of surprise.
Zyne having seen the expression he wanted from someone finally felt better at heart, he intentionally increased his voice and replied, "Of course they're done, what do you take this old dwarfin for? I spent the entire two days without sleep to retune these things!"
A few others looked over, but the primary target of interest only snorted as he continued to look at Elder Jisk. Zyne seeing this then shook his head lowering his voice so only Feng Yu could hear, "Your new armor is now an artifact of the superior earth tier which is one breath from the heavenly tier, it is more tuned to your combat style direct and overwhelming. I have changed its color to one that will more likely match your taste and have enabled you to change its shape at will. You can wear it as under armor or an outer armor, either way, the protective properties will remain the same. So long as the enemy you face isn’t wielding a heaven tier weapon or has a stage 5 (True Soul realm) level of cultivation, then it will be indestructible to all attacks."
Upon finishing his words, he waved his hand causing a shiny scarlet orb to appear. It gleamed with a strange flaming but thunderous light as if it could meld both forces into one. Zyne snapped his fingers causing the orb to reshape itself into a scarlet wristband which wrapped itself around Feng Yu's arm swiftly.
Feng Yu looked at the wristband in surprise as he gently stroked it with his fingers, he then looked towards Zyne with a puzzled look on his face as he asked, "It's strange, why do I now feel a connection between this artifact and my bloodline?"
Zyne slyly smiled as he heard this before responding, "Heh! Well boy, that's because I used a bit of your blood during the refinement process. You have already bonded with two artifacts thus making it impossible to bind another as a life source weapon. Hence, I had to use special means to recreate a similar effect. This armor, like your swords, will grow along with your strength increase, as for how far it will grow, that depends on how much strength you can eventually achieve in the end..."
Feng Yu hearing Zyne's statement about using his blood didn't frown but glanced towards the wristband with a curious light in his eyes as he muttered, "Hmm, my own growth you say. Impressive..."
Zyne then continued, he waved his hand causing a black sword to appear, it gave off a thunderously dark aura one like none seen before as clusters of black thunder streaked around its edges.
It then floated before Feng Yu who quickly grabbed its hilt causing its dominant demonstration to come to an end.
Zyne seeing this commented, "This sword of yours is quite strange. It is made of a material from an unknown source no matter how I traced my memories and sources I could not find anything regarding its details. Its thunderous energies are the condensation of a strange Principle, or in your worlds terms a unique kind of Dao, one that I believe formed from an entity much like your own unique combination of thunderous flames..."
As Feng Yu heard this, he could not help but raise his brows, but before he could speak Zyne continued his words, "However, while I do not know its origin and can only speculate a few things, I do know its main property. It is a material coated by a principle that likes to devour; eating any metallic treasures given to it. Going by this rule, you can say that this is a sword that can grow infinitely strong, but it is up to its wielder to find it those sources and treasures. I have fed it a few treasures for now allowing it to reach the same level as a superior earth tier sword, which will be enough for your current cultivation realms. But once you've advanced to Stage 5 cultivation and above, you will need to find a way to upgrade it to the heavenly tier."
Feng Yu hearing this nodded his head and replied, "Thank you very much for your hard efforts Zyne..."
Zyne hearing this heavily patted his shoulder as he spoke, "Haha! It was nothing, now go, for I have to get in this thing ..."
As Feng Yu heard this, he turned around and walked towards the location of Jing Mingyun. Zyne was about to touch the Healing Chamber, but he couldn't help but look back at Feng Yu at the two swords on his back, zeroing his sights on Crimson Ember.
"Be careful of that sword brat..." Zyne muttered, after saying this he turned around and placed his palm on the chamber before him, soon h
is body began to slip inside of the chamber.
Leon who had only now removed his gaze from the crystalized Elder Jisk looked towards Zyne with a reasonably complex expression on his face as he remembered their previous discussion in the forging room. Very soon, Zyne became fully submerged and shortly after crystalized.
Demetria seeing that most of the individuals had become crystallized finally snapped her fingers. Instantly, a strange runic formation formed on the ground a few meters before her. After a short while, the formation started to glow in a bright blue hue followed by a loud rumbling.
Not waiting for long, a new Healing Chamber rose up from the ground connected to a much thicker vine which trailed all the way towards the Life Source Halo. This chamber was unique in that it was double the size of the previous with unique markings engraved on its surface.
Feng Yu seeing this was curious as he wondered how it differed from the others, not waiting for long Queen Demetria explained as she gestured towards Jing Mingyun.
“Now then, as I was mention before your previous essences were not ideal as you had grown in an environment not suited for your kind. As such, losing those energies couldn’t be considered a bad thing but rather an opportunity. The current you can now be said to have started over your path of training, as such you only need to grow according to your kind's standard, which of course is naturally. However, this type of growing requires time, and time is what we lack the most at the moment. This chamber before you is a secret product of Zyne and the late Fairy Queen. One manufactured with the sole purpose of healing beings from the Paragon Races. As entities from these races required a large amount of time to heal their already immense essences, this chamber was built with the strands from the Dao Truths of Time at its very core.”
Feng Yu seeing this was surprised as he pondered, “Time? To think they could even build types of machinery that could use such an obscure thing...”
