As Myria heard this she then nodded and spoke to both Feng Yu and Leon, “Ok, let’s not continue to waste any more time then.” The moment she finished her words her energies grew exponentially causing all of the gathered leaders to grow silent from its oppressive force.

She then looked at them and spoke as a bright blue light shone at the depths of eyes, “The enemies have succeeded in claiming the initiative as such we will have to make swift movements, all leaders will prepare their forces while sending their sharpest units to help defend the towns and villages that have fallen under assault. You may also use that time to make your own preparations for any further unexpected situations, as for all major subunits of the Fairy Clan, Azured Scaled Lizard Clan, Supreme Orges, Ancient Hawk Clansmen, Mermen, and the Spector Lifeborn Clan. They shall immediately gather together as we shall head out to block the enemy’s main force, as they have already made initial preparations, we will need the hawk clansmen to gather information quickly!”

After Myria spoke to her, she paused for a moment as the magical forces of nature began to shroud her being filling her with a presence similar to that of her mother's. Her eyes glowing in a bright golden light as she spoke, “Everyone let us fight and bring victory to all kinds!”

The leaders hearing her words quickly saluted as they spoke in unison, “For the victory of all kinds!” Their voices resounding throughout the entire Fairyland causing the distant clan members blood to boil as the smell of war began to emit from their bodies.

Feng Yu seated within the area moved his gaze towards the sky as he viewed the edge of the horizon his eyes shining in a profound light as muttered under his breath, “War lies beyond the horizon, and only the victor will be able to shape their own history. Through battle, there is both life and death, 'Death' being the destruction of the old with 'Life' representing the rising of the new. Those who rise in battles are those who have managed to overcome their limits, experiencing comprehensive breakthroughs due to the struggles of life and death. Hence the reason why the battlefield is the best place for one to experience a true rebirth,”

As Feng Yu spoke, he revealed both Black Lightning and Crimson Ember from his back and looked at the two swords with a sharp light in his eyes as if he was now a sword looking at his swords. He thought to himself, “A sword is a tool for slaughter... and thus its path cannot be devoid of killing while it is used to protect, its primary essence will always remain of that which is to kill. If I wish to achieve true sword intent, I must fight with the desire to slaughter, as the core of my desire to kill my enemies while protecting those I want to protect.”

As Feng Yu thought to her, he then lifted his head with a smile on his face as he spoke with a voice that trailed off with the wind, “The path to sword intent lies on the battlefield...”

  Chapter 129

An Odd Spear, The Ancient Magi’s Tome?

Somewhere far away, within an unknown zone at the depths of the Interior Regions. The air here was unusual, giving one a feeling of pure heaviness as if the world itself was trying to compress all things within its range.

If one looked around this land, they would see a vast range of hills that reached as far as the eye could perceive, with remnants of old edifices built at their highest peaks. Many types of vines fell from the corners of these ancient structures traveling all the way to the verdant meadows that lay beneath these ranges.

A strange wind blew within these fields stirring the grasses as it swept away the leaves towards the distant fields. A rather common but peculiar scenario in this realm filled with the unusually severe pressures.

  Step! Step! Step!

If one listened carefully, they would also hear the sound of footsteps that calmly traversed these vast fields. Moving one's gaze towards a specific location one would see a silhouette that slowly made its way towards these hills from a distance, after a bit of wandering the individual's outline began to fade revealing the previously indistinct form.

It was a handsome young man with long silver hair that fell down the back of his neck, and sharp looking silver eyes that seemed as if they could pierce through all things. His expression was calm giving one a feeling of pure confidence as nothing in the world could hinder his path, the pressures of the world that was prevalent in this strange environment was only capable of causing him to work up a slight amount of sweat as casually traversed the land.

He wore well-fitted robes with silver markings along with dark-colored pants adorned with unique patterns. If one looked at his equipment, they would see a pair of silvery black gauntlets equipped on both of his arms along with a long silver spear strapped on his back.

The young man continued to walk for what seemed like an eternity within these pressuring ranges only coming to a stop the very moment he arrived at the central location of the surrounding mountains and hills. In front of him was an unusual construct, covered with dried up moss and rust. If one observed it from a broader perspective, one would see that it was a large pole that stretched from the earth towards the depths of the sky as if it was trying to break through the very limits of the heavens itself.

This pole was a spear, a gigantic spear with overwhelmingly exaggerated size, with half of its shaft plunged into the earth along with a sharp tip that continuously gleamed in a baleful light despite the corrosion due to the passage of time. A terrifying pressure was currently being emitted from its entirety as if it was a sleeping dragon that could wake at any moment, resulting in the overwhelming forces that oppressed the entire region.

Looking at the massive spear before him, the Zang Xu spoke with a look of interest on his face. “Is it you? Are you the one that summoned me since the very moment I entered this strange land?”

As Zang Xu said this, he couldn’t help but glanced around to examine the spear before him carefully. After a bit of inspection, the interest on his face turned to that of indifference as he spoke to the massive spear with a tone filled with arrogance. “You are indeed a marvelous treasure, to be capable of withstanding such a long passage of time and still carry such a domineering will. If it were anyone else, they would have been a great partner for you, but my path is my own. I do not require your aid for a true spearman forges his own path, and my weapon is the very spear I carry on my back. I will not abandon it for another tool...”

When he spoke to here, he lifted his hand and gently tapped the tip of the spear behind his back, after which he turned around to set off on a new journey towards the destination of the portal that would lead to the Centre of all Zones.

However, the very moment he turned away from the massive spear behind him, there was a sudden change.

Rumble! The world shook as the spear behind Zang Xu began to vibrate fiercely, after a short moment of time, the rumbling stopped and towering oppression that once shrouded the world instantly vanished, leaving behind a feeling of lightness soon spread across the vicinity.

As Zang Xu felt this change, he couldn’t help but knit his brows as he pondered, “What is this spear doing? I rejected its offer, but now it started acting in such a strange manner...”

While lost in his thoughts, the massive spear started to glow in a bright light that quickly covered most of this region.

Zang Xu looked at the strange change before him with a calm gaze utterly unperturbed by the sudden turn of events. Quickly, the bright light vanished revealing a brand-new world. A place that had no sky or earth as Zang Xu’s body floated within its void of perpetual nothingness for a few minutes.

Sensing that Zang Xu wasn’t going to speak along with his calm and indifferent expression, a voice soon became impatient as it spoke with its resonant voice that echoed across this strange space, “Chet! You damn brat acting all high and mighty, why are you not begging for forgiveness? If you do, I may consider letting you free and giving you the chance to wield my weapon of old...”

The voice said in an angry but enticing manner as if it believed Zang Xu would react in panic and immediately offer an apology
for his rude behavior. However, it was a pity for Zang Xu who remained calm and indifferent as he inspected his surroundings for a while trying to seek the source of the voice before speaking in a dull tone, “I have said before that I have no interest in acquiring another weapon, I walk my own path...”

The ancient voice hearing this remained silent for a bit as a transparent figure that floated in the darkness carefully inspected Zang Xu’s determined expression, the figure frowned for a moment before he sighed showing a look of appreciation towards Zang Xu.

It once again spoke, “You’re quite an interesting child as your resolve is unmovable and your will is almost unshakeable, while your cultivation technique is not too bad alas it is no more than a broken legacy. You walk the Path of Absolute, but...” As the figure spoke to him a sly smile came across the corner of his lips.

The dark world became bright revealing the figure who floated above a broken semi-transparent spear that was two meters in size; he was a young-looking man whose hair was bonded together into one long ponytail that fell down his back to his feet. His bright eyes shining with a cunning light as continued his words, “Are you truly Absolute?!”

Zang Xu hearing these words from the transparent figure remained calm as he thought for a moment before speaking in a confident manner, “I am the absolute for no matter where my spear flows everything will fall, as nothing shall hinder its path...”

The transparent figure smiled slyly as he heard Zang Xu’s words, he pointed his finger towards the semi-transparent spear below him and spoke, “Is that so, fine then. I shall offer you test, if wish to leave this space of mine then all you have to do is show me the depths of your resolve. Grab the soul of this spear, and you will be allowed to leave...”

Zang Xu then looked at the strange spear not too far away from him and with a steady light in his eyes as he once more looked at the figure and agreed, “All I have to do is grab that spear, right? Then, I shall do just that...”

As he said this, he walked towards the spear in an unstoppable fashion, as if nothing in the world could hinder his steps. Eventually, he arrived before the spear and reached out his arm to grab its shaft, but there was an unexpected scene.

Buzzzz! The spear shook as a terrifying force erupted from its being that pushed Zang Xu away causing him to cough up a mouth full of blood. The figure seeing this sneered as he looked at Zang Xu with disdain.

Zang Xu seeing this frowned as a look of surprise came on his face; he wiped the blood from his lips and then looked at his two palms as if he is missing something he yelled, “Impossible! I am the absolute, and my path is THE ABSOLUTE, how can another’s force push me away?!”

His voice was echoing within the quiet zone as he continued to stare at his hands with a confused expression, the figure floating in the void finally spoke as to answer his concerns, “You are both right and wrong! For though it may be true that you walk the Path of Absolute, it is a fact that you are traveling with only a part of its principles. This part is known as - The Will of Invincibility, believing yourself to be above all things, but true Absolute is not that, a spearman does not fight his battles alone, he wields himself as well as his weapon, becoming one true entity with the state known as ‘Man and Spear as One,’ otherwise called – the Will of Unity. Only by merging both ‘Wills’ will one begin to carry a fraction of the Will of True Absolute becoming invincible within the Heavens and the Earth...”

Zang Xu hearing the figure words fell into a deep state of contemplation, as his mind became enlightened.

Snap! As if breaking through a barrier, the aspect that was hindering his progression regarding his Spear Path faded away as his entire being became sharper and conveying the feeling of an actual spear.

The transparent figure noting this, smiled as he looked at Zang Xu with eyes that showed praise, “Very good! Now go, try and grab that spear again...”

Not wasting any time Zang Xu walked forward towards the spear once again and reached out his hand to grab it. This time around his hand smoothly touched the spear feeling no form of resistance, as he saw this Zang Xu smiled as he succeeded in gaining his freedom from this space.

Bang! The world exploded as the lights vanished within moments the figure of Zang Xu could be seen standing at the edge of the ranges.

“I guess it’s time to leave this space and test my newfound insights on this battlefield.” Zang Xu said with the light of excitement in his eyes, he turned around and bowed his head towards the void while speaking, “I don’t know who you are but for helping to find a clearer direction to the path of my spear. I Zang Xu will forever remember this gratitude...”

Zang Xu was about to leave, but his step couldn’t help but halt as he noticed something strange, carefully revolving his cultivation technique he found that it wasn’t the same but on a completely different league far beyond his imagination.

“What on earth?!” The usually calm Zang Xu couldn’t help but grow shocked at this scene as he once again looked towards the void and question, “Who were you?” His voice fading away with the wind as he shook his head and slowly traveled towards the direction of the distant portal that led to the Center of All Zones...

The sky was strange as it was painted with a myriad of colors that covered this side of the world, looking around one would see a broad section of land with no mountains or hills. Standing proudly at the center of this area was a single tower with no end, with old looking walls that went through countless years of time. The door of this tower was opened as if someone had recently set foot into its domain, as the sound of soft steps could be heard climbing the stairs of this silent tower.

As the steps continued upwards, the scene outside of the tower would change, showing different lights for every level traversed by this unique party who was climbing the tower at a fast pace. Eventually, the lights stopped at the peak of this tower which seemed to have ascended towards the limits of the sky as a bright ray of light shot from the tower creating a marking in the sky.

“10th Generation Inheritor Trial Complete!” A mechanical voice said.

Buzz! As it finished its words there was a loud buzzing sound followed by a ray of light that shot from the colorful sky’s collision with the peak of the tower.

After a few moments, the lights vanished revealing a young lady who wore magical robes with strange runes. She had long hair that fell to her back with neatly cut bangs covering her forehead as she wore a large magic-hat that covered most of her beautiful face. Her playful round eyes were now staring curiously at a strange book that was placed within her palms as she muttered disappointedly, “I went through all that struggle only to get this? This better be worth my time...”

As she said this, she flipped open the book with her fingers only to see a set of blank pages within with no form of unique spells or runes.

“Damn! I wasted my time here for nothing!” Xia Rou yelled in anger as she saw the empty book in her palms, her face went red and she started to hyperventilate, as she was about to toss the book away to try and ease her stress the book began to glow in a mysterious light.

“Eh? What’s going—” Xia Rou seeing the sudden change was stunned, but before she could finish her words of surprise a voice came into her mind.

It was a voice that seemed to have traveled from a different universe as if someone was overlooking her tiny existence, “You’ve done well child, from now on you will be the 10th Generation Successor to this old legacy mine. Use its power well...”

The moment the voice vanished, the book that was within Xia Rou’s palms turned into specks of light that shot towards her forehead, quickly it merged with her being as a few words became visible within her mind.

  “The Ancient Magi’s Tome...”

“Source of all magic, a tool to those among mages who are destined to walk the path of an Ancient Magi...”

Xia Rou seeing the information within her mind became stunned, as she didn’t expect to receive such a thing. H
er eyes shone brightly as the corner of her lips rose to that of a smile which looked towards the horizon and spoke as if declaring to the world, “Now that I have this, I will definitely grow stronger, stronger to point where I will once again be able to find you and put you in your place...”

She said as the figure of mouse faced youth came into her eyes, though blurry for some strange unknown reason the youth’s figure remained etched within her soul. After clearing her mind, she then looked towards a portal that was on glowing at the far edges of this realm as she clenched her palms into a fist and walked towards it with full determination.

Quickly, her figure vanished from this tower, as she began her journey to the region where all will meet and eventually come to its end.

  Chapter 130

The Turbulent Radiant Woods, Dawn of War!

It was a dark scene, as colorful flames blanketed the land. A once beautiful forest now transformed into a dreadful battlefield with corpses scattered as far as one could see, the ashes from burning towns saturating the air with a dense smog, as it further painted this chaotic atmosphere.

Looking around one would also see a myriad of broken structures built on top of the tall ancient trees that could not shroud them from these surrounding dangers.

A gloomy rain fell upon this land, unable to calm the rising fires nor ease the spirits of the fallen ones, as it caused a sad mood to frolic about the region. In one particular town, there was a group of well-armored natives from different races gathered together at the central district.

They each carried a solemn look on their faces as they gazed towards the young dwarfin that stood before them and waited for him to speak, not taking too long the dwarfin finally spoke with a deep voice, “It’s now been four days since the assault on our towns and villages, and there have been many causalities. If things keep like this, we will lose all of our hideouts to the enemies before we even have a chance to strike to them directly. From our calculations thus far, regarding their attack patterns and routes it is certain the enemy will be assaulting this town in their next attempt to seek our main hideout, as such, all men must be alert and prepare to strike at their forces while they least expect it.”
